Meet Julia

Hi there!  My name is Julia Domogalla and I'm 29 years old.  I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband and three kids Liam-5, Maxwell-3 and Luella-1.  I've been married for 9 years to my high school sweetheart, Ben.  He is the love of my life, my best friend and biggest supporter!  Currently I am a stay at home mom.  I also do occasional pop-up home decor shows and sell merchandise out of store in Sherwood called Joyful Seed.  I also occasionally help clients with interior design on the side.  My long term goal is to go back to school for interior design and pursue that as my "job" once my kids are in school! My goal on this blog is to help you get ideas for creating and decorating your own home, all while finding ways to be budget friendly and still make your home look AMAZING! You definitely don't always have to spend a lot to create a beautiful space!  I'm hoping to show you before and after's of furniture makeovers I do and anything else related to home decor!

I've always had a passion for interior design.  My love for finding decor and putting my own touch to it started in high school, but I think I really started to notice when I was in college.  Yes I wanted to make my college room look cute, but I also found that when I was stressed from work and going to school full-time, browsing the aisles of HomeGoods was where I would end up.  It was my HAPPY PLACE!  Once I got married half-way through my college years, I began to actually have a home to decorate. It all began there... We would move almost every year up until we bought a house two years ago.  With each move I wanted to make our place a home by making it feel cozy and complete!  Once my current home was mostly decorated (well who am I kidding, it's always still changing), I realized I needed a place to sell my finds and DIY's because I loved shopping home decor and creating unique pieces so much.  So that's when I started a home decor booth back in 2013.  I've always loved finding the good deals and unique finds.  My booth created an outlet for me that was so needed! Now I do pop-up shows and sell my finds out of store in Sherwood. So once my kids are in bed, you can normally find me in the garage working on projects or shopping late at night.  Then on the weekends I generally hit up the garage, estate, barn and vintage sales. And I try my best to make a weekly round at our local thrift stores. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and supporting my love for interior design. Follow along my design journey on INSTAGRAM if you don't already!  I hope to give you ideas and inspiration to add to your own home!! God bless you!!
